Tour schedule:

In the morning, our team picks you up from the hotel. On the way to Baschy village (administrative center of Altyn Emel state park – one of the craziest landscapes of Almaty region) enjoy vast Kazakh steppes. Upon arrival, check-in at Aigai Kum hotel and visit the Altyn Emel park museum where you can get a basic knowledge of Park’s history. In the afternoon continue to the Singing Dune (the highlight of the day). Make an ascent to the top of it and enjoy the sunset (accompanied by a light picnic) on the way back to the hotel. At the end of the 1^st day, we invite you to our home cinema to watch some of the best adventure documentaries.

Day 1 with overnight accommodation in a hotel

9:30—13:00 transfer Almaty– Baschy village

13:00—14:00 lunch

14:00—15:30 free time, Altyn-Emel state park museum visit

15:30—16:30 transfer to the Singing Dune

16:30—18:30 walk around and ascent to the top of the dune

18:30—20:00 transfer back to the village (sunset tea on the way)

20:00—21:00 dinner

21:00—23:00 home cinema

After breakfast, we take you to the magic place called Aktau mountains. Make two hours hike to one of the top points in search of splendid «Martian» views. Enjoy our picnic lunch after the hike. Continue your «Martian» adventures to Katutau lava mountains and  700-years willow tree with the cozy pond nearby. Stargazing in the steppe after dinner.

Day 2 with overnight accommodation in the hotel

8:00—9:00 breakfast

9:00—10:30 transfer to Aktau mountains

10:30—12:30 hike in the mountains with an ascent to one of the tops

12:30—13:30 picnic-lunch

13:30—16:00 Katutau lava mountains and 700-year-old willow tree photo stops

16:00—17:00 transfer to the village

17:00—19:00 free time

19:00—20:00 dinner

20:00—22:00 home cinema

22:00—23:00 stargazing in the steppes

3^rd day begins with the transfer from Baschy village to Zharkent town. The road crosses the north-eastern part of the Aktau mountains and goes along the Jungar Alatau mountain ridge. Visit 126-years old Orthodox church and the mosque built by a Chinese architect in 1895. After lunch, visit the Charyn river and make a 2 km long walk among alien landscapes of Castle valley canyon. Finish this day in Saty village guest-house with a delicious traditional Kazakh dinner.

Day 3 with overnight accommodation in guesthouse

8:00—9:00 breakfast

9:00—11:00 transfer to Zharkent town

11:00—12:30 excursion to the museum-mosque and ancient Russian orthodox church

12:30—13:30 lunch

13:30—15:30 transfer to Charyn canyon

15:30—16:30 walking through the canyon

16:30 – 18:00 transfer to the Saty village

18:00 – 19:00 check-in, free time

19:00 – 20:00 Dinner

20:00 Free time, evening bonfire, sauna

This is a completely hiking day. In the morning, take a one-hour car ride across picturesque Kungey Alatau mountains to the hiking route start point. Make 1,5 hours hike to one of the beauties of the Almaty region, lake Kolsay 1. Spend time walking around the lake and plunging into the magical ambiance of the mountains. Enjoy the sunset on the way back to the guest-house.

Day 4 with overnight accommodation in a guesthouse

08:00 – 09:00 – breakfast

09:00 – 11:30 – transfer to the lake Kolsay 1

11:30 – 13:00 – hike around the lake

13:00-15:00 – picnic/lunch, free time

15:00 – 17:00 – way back to the car

17:00 – 18:00 – walk in a beautiful hillside

18:00-19:00 – transfer to the village

19:00 – 20:00 – dinner

20:00 – free time

After breakfast, take an hour’s car drive to the mystique place called Kaindy lake. The lake was formed as the result of a landslide forming a natural dam. It blocked the gorge and was filled by mountain river water. The landslide was triggered by the 1911 earthquake. Take a walk around the lake making photo-stops in several view-points. Get back to Saty village for lunch and depart to Almaty right after. The way to Almaty takes 4-5 hours and passes through the valleys and mountains.

9:00—10:00 breakfast

10:00—11:00 transfer to Kaindy lake

11:00—13:00 walk around the lake

13:00—14:00 picnic lunch

14:00—18:00 return to Almaty
