Description
Horseback riding tour Son-Kul Lake is a wonderful way to closely experience the nomadic life. On this multi-day tour, we will visit different climatic zones – from semi-desert to tundra.
Day 1 – Arrival, Bishkek-Kochkor
Landing in Bishkek, breakfast, and transfer to Kochkor village. There we will visit the local felt factory and we will help them to make felt carpet, hear their stories, interact with local people and have dinner with them.

Day 2 – Kochkor – Kilemche – Jaman Echki (5-6 hours horse riding)
Early breakfast and we will drive to Jumgal valley, to the starting point of the horse ride below the Kyzart pass. We will meet the horsemen with prepared horses. Cross Kyzyl-Kiya jailoo, continue over the Chaar-Archa Pass (3 061 m) to the Chaar-Archa Valley and we will have lunch at Kilemche jailoo, with views of 4400 m high Baba-Ata Mountain..
After lunch, we will continue through Jalgyz Karagai pass (3400 m), over the Song-Kol Mountains.

Day 3 – Jaman Echki – Tulpar Tash (4-6 hours horse riding)
After breakfast in the yurt, we will continue our tour on horseback to the south side of the lake. Lunch will be a picnic served in the middle of the beautiful nature. We will arrive at the Silk Road yurt camp in the evening.

Day 4 – Tulpar-Tash – Tulga-Tash (4-6 hours horse riding)
After breakfast in the yurt, we will continue our equestrian tour and explore stone circles on the southern shore of Son-Kul Lake. “Tash-Tulga” or “Tulga-Tash” means heart, built of stones. In the archaeological literature, they are called “eight-stone memorial fences”. They date back to the 1st century BC.

Day 5 – Son-Kul Lake – Bishkek (300 km drive)
After breakfast with a local family, we will say goodbye to our hosts and return to Bishkek. Along the way, we will visit the Tower of Burana minaret, preserved from the times of the ancient city Balasagyn (XI – XIII centuries). There we will also visit the exhibition museum of the Dungan tradition with a local family, where we will also enjoy a delicious lunch. Upon arrival in Bishkek, we will get settled at the hotel. Then we will begin our tour where will visit the central part of Bishkek, parks, get acquainted with amazing places in the city, and have dinner in a restaurant serving national cuisine.

Day 6 – Bishkek – Manas Airport
End of the tour. So, early in the morning, you will be picked up and brought to the airport for your flight home, having gained wonderful and lasting impressions from what you have seen and experienced.
