About the tour

Embark on a 10-day exploration of Kyrgyzstan’s diverse landscapes, rich cultural heritage, and warm hospitality. From the bustling city of Bishkek to the stunning shores of Issyk Kul Lake, you’ll experience the best of this Central Asian gem, blending ancient traditions, natural wonders, and local lifestyles.

Your journey begins in Bishkek, where you’ll explore the city before heading to the serene beaches of Issyk Kul Lake. Along the way, you’ll discover historical sites like the Burana Tower, visit ancient petroglyphs, and learn about the region’s rich archaeological and cultural heritage. You’ll also have the opportunity to experience the unique traditions of Kyrgyz nomads—such as eagle hunting and yurt assembly—while enjoying traditional meals with local families.

Throughout your tour, you’ll enjoy a variety of activities including hiking to waterfalls, relaxing at natural hot springs, visiting valleys surrounded by stunning mountain landscapes, and witnessing the art of felt-making. Whether you’re soaking in the scenery at Son Kul Lake or sampling local specialties, this adventure will immerse you in the heart of Kyrgyzstan’s natural beauty and fascinating culture.

Landing at Bishkek city, transfer to hotel, Bishkek city tour. Free time.

Accommodation: 3* hotel in Bishkek, Meal: LD

Day 2. Cholpon Ata beach

Breakfast at hotel, transfer to Cholpon Ata. On the road we will visit Burana tower, visit archeological museum, take a tour to Balbal stones garden, hear the legend about Burana tower.  According to your choice we can make rafting at Chu river (need to order before). Then we will have lunch at local Dungan family and get aquainted with tradition and culture, lifestyle of this majority. Then we will continue to Cholpon Ata. Today we will provide time at Beach of Yssyk Kul Lake in Cholpon Ata, swim at Issyk Kul Lake, visit Petroglyphs open sky museum, visit cultural center “Rukh Ordo”.

Day 3. Karakol city tour, Folklore show.

Breakfast, transfer to Karakol city. On the way to Karakol we will stop at mineral hot spring pool for swimming at Oruktu village. In Karakol we will visit Bugu Bazaar, for lunch we will visit one of the cafes in the bazaar where we will taste “Ash Lyam Fu”(Dungan style cold, spicy dish), and “Pirozhki” (Fried dough with mashed potatoes). These dishes are considered as popular dishes from Karakol. That’s why every guest try to taste them. Then we will have Karakol city tour during that we will visit “ Dungan mosque”, “Holy Trinity Cathedral”, “Przhevalsky Muesum” and other destinations. In the evening we will have dinner with local Dungan family. According to your wishes see folkore show of local musical band “Kylym”(need to order before)

Day 4.  Altyn Arashan

Breakfast. We will start our journey to Altyn Arashan hot spings on Soviet Union Track. We will walk to mineral hot springs in nature, take bath there, have lunch at yurt camp in Altyn Arashan gorge. Then we will come back to Karakol city. In the evening dinner at local traditional restaurant.

Day 5. Jeti Oguz valley

After breakfast at hotel, we will continue to discover the Jeti Oguz valley. We will hike to “Maiden Braid” waterfall, see the “Broken heart” scale, “Jeti Oguz” rocks translated as “Seven Bulls” rocks. We will hear a lots of legend about these destinations. Lunch and dinner will be at yurt camp.

Day 6. Barskoon waterfall, Skazka canyon, Kaji Sai

Breakfast at yurt camp, and we will continue to Kaji Sai on the south shore of Issyk Kul lake. On the road we will drive to visit Barskoon gorge. This is the gorge where gold mine “Kumtor”. We will visit one of the 4 waterfall in Barskoon, see the stone monument of first cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin. For lunch we will organize picnic at Barskoon gorge or visit yurt café in the destination.

Then we will drive to Skazka valley. We will discover the Skazka valley. It is translated as “ Fairy tale Canyon”. Then transfer to Kaji Sai for overnight. If we will have time we will provide time at Kaji Sai beach.

Day 7. Photography time with golden eagle, Yurt assembly, Kochkor, Felt carpet factory.

Breakfast at Kaji Sai guesthouse and we will visit Golden eagle house at Bokonbaevo village to make photos with golden eagle and see eagle hunting demonstration.

Then we will drive to Kizil Tuu village on the south shore of Yssyk Kul Lake. Kizil Tuu village is famous with felt art, and it is considered as the mother land of nomadic yurt camp. We will help to local family in yurt assembly here, eat lunch with this family and continue to Kochkor village in Naryn region. In Kochkor village we will visit felt factory. According to your choice we will see the technology of how to make felt carpet there (need to order before)

Day 8. Moldo Ashu pass, Son Kul lake

After breakfast we will move to Son Kul Lake through Moldo Ashu Pass. Moldo Ashu Pass is famous by it’s serpentine roads. Upon arrival Son Kul Lake free time. Lunch, dinner at yurt camps.

Day 9. Son Kul, Kalmak Ashu Pass, Bishkek city

After breakfast, we will start to move to Bishkek city through Kalmak Ashu Pass. In the Kalmak Ashu Pass we will have opportunity to see the yaks. On the road in Kemin we will stop on popular dining place among locals “ Apamdyn Kattamasy” for lunch, there we will taste  traditional bread “Kattama” and traditional tea with milk “Samoor Chai”. Upon arrival at Bishkek city, we will visit Osh bazaar or other souvenir shops to buy gifts for our loved ones. In the evening dinner at national restaurant.

Day 10. End of tour

Transfer to airport, flight home. Meal: B
