4-Day Son-Kul and Issyk-Kul Tour

Discover the Beauty of Kyrgyzstan

This 4-day Son-Kul and Issyk-Kul tour is the perfect combination of nature, culture, nomadic traditions, and mountain adventure. During the journey, you will explore the southern shore of Issyk-Kul Lake, stay in traditional yurts, visit colorful canyons, and experience authentic Kyrgyz hospitality.

In addition, this Son-Kul and Issyk-Kul tour includes eagle hunting traditions, yurt assembly demonstrations, alpine valleys, and breathtaking mountain scenery.


DAY 1 — Bishkek to Jeti Oguz Valley

Your guide will meet you at your hotel in Bishkek in the morning. Afterwards, we will travel along the southern shore of Issyk-Kul Lake toward Jeti Oguz Valley.

Along the way, we will stop in Kyzyl-Tuu village, famous for traditional yurt craftsmanship. Here, you will participate in a nomadic yurt assembly demonstration with a local family and enjoy homemade lunch together.

Later, we will continue to Bokonbaevo village to visit a golden eagle hunter and watch an eagle hunting demonstration. Afterwards, we will explore the colorful Skazka Canyon, also known as Fairy Tale Canyon, famous for its unusual rock formations shaped by wind and rain.

Finally, we will continue to Jeti-Oguz Valley for dinner and overnight stay.

Accommodation: Golden Yurt Camp in Jeti Oguz (4 pax accommodation)

DAY 2 — Jeti Oguz, Karakol & Cholpon-Ata

After breakfast, we will explore the beautiful Jeti Oguz Valley. Guests may hike or ride horses to Maiden Braid Waterfall. In addition, we will see the famous “Broken Heart” and “Seven Bulls” rock formations while learning local legends and history.

After lunch at the yurt camp, we will continue to Karakol. During the city tour, we will visit the historic Dungan Mosque and learn about the multicultural history of the region.

Later, we will drive to Cholpon-Ata. Here, guests will enjoy a relaxing cruise on Issyk-Kul Lake and free time near the beach.

Dinner will be served at a local restaurant.

DAY 3 — Son-Kul Lake Adventure

After breakfast, this Son-Kul and Issyk-Kul tour continues toward the breathtaking Son-Kul Lake.

On the way, we will pass Kochkor village and cross the scenic Kalmak Ashu Pass, where guests may see yaks grazing in the mountains.

Upon arrival at Son-Kul Lake, we will enjoy lunch in traditional yurts before taking a walk along the lakeshore. In addition, optional horseback riding is available for those who want to experience nomadic life more closely.

In the evening, we will help local hosts prepare traditional Kyrgyz bread called “boorsok” and enjoy dinner with homemade kaymak.

DAY 4 — Burana Tower & Return to Bishkek

After breakfast, we will leave Son-Kul Lake and drive back toward Bishkek.

Later, we will stop near Tokmok to enjoy lunch with a local Dungan family. Afterwards, we will visit the ancient Burana Tower, one of the most important historical monuments in Kyrgyzstan.

We will also explore the nearby museum and Balbal stone collection before continuing to Bishkek.

In the evening, arrival in Bishkek, dinner, and transfer to your hotel.
