This Intensive Off-Road Tour Kyrgyzstan is designed for travelers who want to discover the wild mountain landscapes, remote valleys, alpine lakes, and nomadic culture of Kyrgyzstan by 4WD adventure vehicles.

During the journey, guests will explore the legendary Issyk-Kul Lake, remote Sary-Jaz Valley, alpine Song-Kul Lake, and the breathtaking Kelsuu Lake near the Chinese border.

Off-Road Adventure Itinerary

Day 1 – Bishkek, Issyk-Kul Lake & Karakol

Arrival at Bishkek and meeting with your guide at the airport.

After breakfast in Bishkek, we begin our journey toward Issyk-Kul Lake.

First, we stop at Burana Tower, an important historical monument from the Karakhanid Empire.

Later, we continue toward Bokonbaevo village on the southern shore of Issyk-Kul Lake. Here, guests will enjoy an eagle hunting demonstration and lunch with a local family.

Afterwards, we visit Skazka Canyon, also known as Fairy Tale Canyon, famous for colorful rock formations shaped by wind and erosion.

In the evening, arrival in Karakol for dinner with a local Dungan family.

Altyn-Arashan Hot Springs Adventure

Day 2 – Karakol & Altyn-Arashan

After breakfast, we begin our off-road adventure toward Altyn-Arashan Gorge using Soviet-era UAZ vehicles.

Meanwhile, guests will experience one of the most famous mountain roads in Kyrgyzstan.

Upon arrival, travelers will visit natural hot springs surrounded by alpine landscapes and enjoy lunch at a yurt camp.

Later, we return toward Karakol and stop at Ak-Suu mineral hot spring pools for swimming and relaxation.

Sary-Jaz Valley & Enilchek

Day 3 – Sary-Jaz Off-Road Expedition

After breakfast, we depart early by 4WD SUVs toward Sary-Jaz Valley through Chon-Ashuu Pass at 3822 meters above sea level.

The route offers dramatic mountain scenery and panoramic views of the Tian Shan mountains.

During the expedition, we visit Enilchek, a mysterious former Soviet mining town known for abandoned industrial areas and mountain isolation.

Lunch will be served as lunch boxes during the journey.

Later, we relax at Kara-Tash hot springs, famous for hot radon water flowing beneath black cliffs.

Finally, we return to Karakol in the evening.

Song-Kul Lake & Kalmak Ashu Pass

Day 4 – Karakol to Song-Kul Lake

After breakfast, we visit the famous Dungan Mosque, built in traditional Chinese architectural style without nails.

Later, we continue toward Kochkor village along the northern shore of Issyk-Kul Lake.

After lunch at a local guesthouse, we drive toward Song-Kul Lake through Kalmak Ashu Pass.

Meanwhile, travelers may see herds of yaks grazing in the alpine valleys.

Upon arrival at Song-Kul Lake, dinner and overnight stay at a traditional yurt camp.

Accommodation: Yurt Camp Ulush at Song-Kul Lake (double accommodation, modern outside bathroom)

Kelsuu Lake & Moldo Ashu Pass

Day 5 – Song-Kul to Kelsuu Lake

After breakfast, we continue toward Kelsuu Lake.

The route passes through the famous Moldo Ashu Pass, known for winding serpentine mountain roads and spectacular scenery.

Along the way, guests will observe remote villages, local nomadic life, and traditional cemeteries.

Lunch will be served in Naryn before continuing toward Kok-Kiya Valley near Kelsuu Lake.

Horse Riding to Kelsuu Lake

Day 6 – Kelsuu Lake & Naryn

After breakfast, we begin exploring Kelsuu Lake by horseback riding.

Meanwhile, travelers will enjoy breathtaking views of alpine cliffs, turquoise waters, and remote mountain landscapes near the Chinese border.

Guests will spend approximately two hours enjoying the scenery around the lake before returning to the yurt camp for lunch.

Later, transfer back to Naryn city.

Ala Archa National Park & Bishkek

Day 7 – Naryn to Bishkek

After breakfast, we continue toward Bishkek.

Along the route in Kemin, we stop at the famous local dining place Apamdyn Kattamasy to taste traditional Kyrgyz bread “Kattama” and local tea known as “Samoor Chai” or “Kempir Chai”.

Upon arrival in Bishkek, we visit Ala Archa National Park for a short walk and mountain views.

In the evening, farewell dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 8 – Departure

Early morning transfer to Manas International Airport for departure.

Guests leave Kyrgyzstan with unforgettable memories of mountains, lakes, off-road adventures, and nomadic culture.
