7-Day Popular Issyk-Kul & Son-Kul Tour from Bishkek

Day 1: Bishkek City Tour

Your unforgettable Kyrgyzstan adventure begins in Bishkek. Upon arrival at the airport, you will be welcomed and transferred to your hotel. At 15:00, start the Bishkek city tour. Visit the central part of the city, including Osh Bazaar, Victory Square, and Ala-Too Square. Explore Oak Park and see monuments dedicated to Kyrgyz heroes, including Manas, the legendary figure of the national epic. After the tour, enjoy a delicious dinner before returning to your hotel.

Day 2: Nomadic Yurt Assembly & Jeti Oguz Valley

After breakfast at the hotel, depart for Issyk-Kul Lake. Stop at Kyzyl-Tuu village, known as the village of the felt world. Participate in assembling a traditional nomadic yurt with a local family and enjoy lunch with them. On the way to Fairy Tale Canyon, visit the House of the Golden Eagle. At Fairy Tale Canyon, see giant sand formations shaped like mystical guardians. Continue to Jeti Oguz Valley for a hike to the Maiden’s Braid waterfall. Admire the Seven Rocks mountains and hear local legends of this stunning area.

Day 3: Altyn Arashan Mineral Hot Springs

Start your day with breakfast, then travel to Altyn Arashan hot springs in a classic Soviet-era vehicle. Soak in the mineral waters at Aksuu Kench and enjoy lunch in a local guesthouse. Later, transfer to Karakol. Dinner will be hosted by a local Dungan family. An optional Kyrgyz folklore music show is available to enrich your experience.

Day 4: Karakol City Tour, Issyk-Kul Lake Beach & Kochkor Village

After breakfast, explore Karakol city. Visit the unique Dungan Mosque, Holy Trinity Cathedral, and Bugu Bazaar. Travel along the north shore of Issyk-Kul Lake to Kochkor village. Stop for lunch at a local guesthouse and relax at the lake beach. Visit the Open-Air Petroglyph Museum. Enjoy dinner and overnight in Kochkor.

Day 5: Moldo Ashu Pass & Son-Kul Lake

Breakfast at the guesthouse is followed by a visit to a local felt factory shop. Drive through Moldo Ashu Pass to the high-altitude Son-Kul Lake (3,000 meters above sea level). Meet your local hosts, taste the traditional kymyz, and enjoy lunch in yurts. Afternoon activities include a lakeside walk, horse riding, and returning to yurts for dinner.

Day 6: Son-Kul Lake, Kalmak Ashu Pass, Burana Tower & Bishkek

After breakfast in yurts, say farewell to your hosts and depart for Bishkek via Kalmak Ashu Pass, enjoying snow-capped mountain views. Stop for lunch with a local Dungan family and visit the historic Burana Tower, a remnant of the ancient Karakhanid state. Arrive in Bishkek and check in at 3-star Hotel Alpinist for overnight stay.

Day 7: Departure from Bishkek

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
