World Nomad Games Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrival in Bishkek

Arrival at Bishkek and transfer to the hotel.

After check-in, guests will enjoy a city tour around Bishkek including:

  • Ala-Too Square
  • Oak Park
  • Osh Bazaar
  • Central city landmarks

Free time in the evening.

Burana Tower & Chon-Kemin Valley

Day 2 – Bishkek to Chon-Kemin

After breakfast, we travel toward Burana Tower, one of the most important historical monuments of the Karakhanid Empire.

Guests will visit:

  • Burana Tower
  • Balbal stone garden
  • Archaeological museum

Later, lunch with a local Dungan family in Tokmok, where travelers can experience authentic Dungan cuisine and culture.

After lunch, transfer to Chon-Kemin National Park.

World Nomad Games Experience

Day 3 – Kyrchyn Jailoo & Issyk-Kul

Early morning transfer toward Cholpon-Ata and the World Nomad Games venue at Kyrchyn Jailoo.

During the festival, guests will experience:

  • Kok-Boru horse games
  • Traditional horse racing
  • Archery competitions
  • Nomadic cultural performances
  • Handicraft exhibitions
  • Traditional yurt camps

This event is one of the largest celebrations of nomadic culture in the world.

In the evening, transfer to Karakol.

Altyn-Arashan Hot Springs

Day 4 – Mountain Adventure

After breakfast, we continue toward Altyn-Arashan Gorge by Soviet-era UAZ vehicle.

Guests will enjoy:

  • Hiking to natural mineral hot springs
  • Bathing surrounded by alpine scenery

Later, return toward Karakol with a stop at Aksuu Kench hot spring pool.

Dinner with a local Uyghur family.

Karakol & Jeti-Oguz Gorge

Day 5 – Cultural & Nature Exploration

After breakfast, city tour in Karakol including:

  • Dungan Mosque

Afterward, transfer to Jeti-Oguz Gorge.

Guests will explore:

  • Broken Heart rock formation
  • Seven Bulls red cliffs
  • Maiden Braid Waterfall

South Shore of Issyk-Kul

Day 6 – Barskoon & Skazka Canyon

After breakfast, we continue along the southern shore of Issyk-Kul Lake.

Highlights of the day:

  • Barskoon Gorge waterfalls
  • Yuri Gagarin monument
  • Picnic in nature
  • Skazka Canyon (Fairy Tale Canyon)

The canyon is famous for colorful rock formations shaped by wind and erosion.

Arrival in Kaji-Sai with free time at the beach.

Son-Kul Lake Nomadic Experience

Day 7 – Kaji-Sai to Son-Kul

After breakfast, we drive toward Son-Kul Lake through Kalmak Ashu Pass.

Along the route, travelers may see:

  • Mountain landscapes
  • Alpine valleys

Arrival at Son-Kul Lake and overnight stay in a traditional yurt camp.

Return to Bishkek

Day 8 – Kochkor & Souvenirs

After breakfast, return drive toward Bishkek.

On the way, stop in Kochkor:

Upon arrival in Bishkek:

  • Visit Osh Bazaar or souvenir shops
