Trekking to Kol-Tor Lake

Description

A day dedicated entirely to Trekking to the Kol-Tor Lake.
The waters of this “imprisoned” (it does not flow to the sea) lake, 2700 meters above sea level, has a deep turquoise hue. The lake water trickles into the ground and breaks out several kilometers below the level of the lake.

We will leave the City of Bishkek and walk down a trail of approximately 8 kilometers which begins in a level plain. Slowly, we will climb up to the lake on a glorious route. Gradually, the surrounding view will begin to change into fir forests and alpine landscapes. On the way, we will encounter horse and cattle herds. After some rest and observation by the lakeshore, we will have lunch. For lunch except for sandwiches we recommend you to take dark chocolate, nuts, cola as these products will make easier your trekking giving you energy. We will then return back to our starting position and drive to the hotel in the city of Bishkek.
